Every New Years Eve when the clock strikes midnight I think we all hope that this year will be “the” year, where we reach your goals professionally, personally or both. A new year in some sense means a new beginning. I cannot even begin to list the things that I have learned this year about myself – being exposed to difficult situations teach you more than I think we realise in the situation. When you hit rock bottom there is only one way out if you want to make the most of your life, which we all have an obligation to do, so that’s up. Seeing the clock strike 00.00 and welcoming 2017 with open arms and a mind that is more clear that ever was truly a relief. 2016 has taught me a lot about myself, forced me to really feel what “I” want and make decisions thereafter. It has been a year of opening my eyes to a life I probably was not aware I could be able to live, a year of achievements, shifts and new doors that are desperate to be opened. My biggest wish for this year is to be capable of embracing all the joy and happiness that may come my way and open myself up to the opportunities that life bring, especially when you’re least expecting it.
A very important lesson for me has been how easy it is to get lost in all the things that do not go as planned instead of seeing the opportunities and the success that always lie ahead of us one way or another. 2017 I could not be more excited for you to have arrived and for me to be completely devoted to the happiness life brings.
Professionally, I have decided to add a feature to the blog that will be announced very soon… Any guesses? Personally – well, we will have to see what life brings.
